Little Bow Peep
Category: Modern
Description
Little Bow Peep Fascinator head piece was designed and fused in concept based on the iconic architectural structure of Singapore exotic vertical Botanical gardens, that are situated by its business harbour and districts. Forge like a beacon signalling to the world its Asian influences. Likewise I have created my idea of fusion by trying to incorporate elements of Asian culture to my hat work.
Semblances of materials gathered are natural and balanced. I have used Organic Sinamay as it has a translucent appeal and because it represent the microsphere path ways, seen through out the gardens.
A fusion of Gold leaf in various tones are embedded to generate light and a glamourous appeal which corresponds to the illuminated ‘Sky Way’ that are displayed in a light show at nightly intervals. Hand crafted organza petals are placed in delicate positions to add a repeated contour. I have omitted the use of a brim wire in order to promote a continuous line in shape and form.
The name Little Bow Peep was chosen to refer to our western world that is pioneering and almost intensively peering and peeping into other continents for fascinating cultural ideas.
