Description

In the headpiece Lulu: I have used traditional techniques to create a modern looking hat. Sinamay which is modern is formed into a hat that is reminiscent of the by gone Victorian era. I believe that the hat gives an update look to a traditional hat. The Fusion is between old and new.

Materials

• Pink sinamay
• Handmade linin flowers
• Grosgrain ribbon
• Headband
• Bookbinding glue

Techniques

• Wood blocks covered with pink sinamay
• Crown and brim
• Traditional flower making with heated tools and twisted by hand.
