Description

The transformation of the crown into a character (cat) is a strong example of my experiments in reinterpreting and challenging a classical pattern.

By combining luxurious & traditional materials as well as the ability to modelate like a sculpture in wood, I managed to reinterpreted the hat into a living being!

The pattern’s simplicity and the alternative detail, ingeniously used, make the hat flourish.
