Description

Thinking the way the braid is usually sewed in a spiral, I decided to sew it in a free style spiral, fusing tradition with my personal technique.

Materials

• Hand blocked corn foundation
• stiffener
• polypropylene braid
• invisible thread
• synthetic lining
• grosgrain

Techniques

• Foundation is hand blocked on a wooden block, the braid is hand stitched starting from the top of the crown, in a continuous curled spiral.
• The lining and the grosgrain are also hand stitched.
