Description

This hat is a result of three types of fusion.

Micro Fusion – fibres are fused together to create dense and beautifully light weight felt.

Macro Fusion – the brim of the hat is fused onto the crown without stitching.

Fusion of techniques – A classic method which uses a wooden block and a modern technique of creating of 3D felt are combined to produce this hat.

Materials

  • Superfine Merino wool
  • 18 micron fibres (in tops)

Techniques

  • Wool fibres are laid out in three layers, each layer has a certain direction of fibres.
  • Felt is created by hand using wet felting technique.
  • Crown is stretched on the wooden head block.
  • Brim is free styled.
  • No stiffener is used, no brim wire, no scissors, no stitching.
