Description
The noun fusion comes from the Latin word fundere, meaning melt. I hope to have captured the essence of fusion, merging atoms and atomic energy by fusing and melting layers of mylar, paint and organza to create a dynamic textile and then portraying atoms and energy with sequins, beads and beaded starbursts. The theme carries to the back of the piece with distressed horsehair/crin, which emulates a frenzied energy.
