Description

I feel the imitation studs add a modern edgy feel to the piece, the velvet I have used is a beautiful burgundy vintage velvet. Both combined make for a beautiful finish. It can be worn to the side or centre of the head.

Materials

• Buckram
• velvet
• steel sprung wire
• ferrule
• hat elastic imitation studs
• diamanté
• crystal glue
• bias binding
• hat block

Techniques

• Iron the velvet onto the buckram and mould around disc block.
• Block a small button in reverse velvet.
• Sew together and wire edge.
• Embellish using imitation studs and diamanté
