2019 HATalk Competition Entry

Ann Flynn

Ann Flynn – Ireland

Carnival

Description

This is a halo shape with a slight difference from the norm. One side is longer than the other, bringing the halo down below the ear on one side. The piece is to be worn over the ear on that side.

The theme equilibrium is shown through the balance of embellishments on either side of the hat, making it exactly the same on the front and back. Thus, equilibrium has been restored despite the piece having a different length at either side of the head.
