Spirograph

Description

A state of Equilibrium exists if the size and direction of the forces acting on an object are exactly balanced.

This statement reminded me of playing with the Spirograph kit of my childhood. How the pattern always ended perfectly back to where it began.

I wanted to create a Spirograph pattern that looked like it whizzed off the hat and back on again, continuously until the pattern connected again.

Materials

• Buntal Mat
• Sinamay
• Braided cord
• Fine millinery wire
• Standard millinery wire
• Elastic and comb

Techniques

• Block buntal mat
• Thread wire through the braid cord, bend and stitch
