Elena Dmitrieva – Russia

Spring is coming, spring is here!

Description

When creating this hat, I was inspired by nature itself. I believe that everything in nature has its own balance and equilibrium. Living things provide each other with necessary things for life, and a proper balance between plants and animals is needed to maintain life. On my hat, flowering cherry branch made of natural Japanese silk is painted in harmonious colors of spring. A small bird that flew in and sat on a thin stick, balancing on one leg and trying to fly off. I observed this moment in nature itself and consider it beautiful. In this work of mine, I wanted to reflect the harmony and an equilibrium of nature in this piece.
