Description
I absolutely love hats that look like they defy gravity. The Jinsin was so gorgeous to play around with and form different shapes. When I got it to a shape I liked I realized that it could have an interestingly shaped base so I blocked a circle and gave a ‘yin & yang’ cut into it (there is another hat with the other half).
The red silk was such a lush color against the black and taupe, I made poppies out of it with flower making tools, left a rough edge to balance with the sharpness of the stripes and added crystal centers for sparkle against the fringe stamens.
