Sahasrara
Description
My hat named Sahasrara, which is the name for the crown Chakra, was inspired while thinking about what the word Equilibrium meant to me.
I immediately thought of balance and I made the connection with my yoga practice, physically and spiritually.
Millinery is an important part of my life and in yoga the highest chakra is the crown chakra at the very top of the head so seemed an appropriate connection.
The crown chakra is represented by the colours violet through to white and the halo shaped design fitted the idea perfectly.
I also found a poem I had saved in a yoga journal that seemed to complete my design and encapsulate my love of Millinery.
Equilibrium
I light up when I am in Equilibrium!
The light and the dark.
The wrong and the right.
The love and the hate. The week and the strength.
The mind and the heart.
Is all me,
This duality of contrasting qualities makes me!
I love ME!
