Equilibria

Description

Equilibrium is a balance of different forces in tension. The word equilibria is a plural noun wich represents the idea of variety and multiplicity. The name of my hat Equilibria symbolize a fusion between visual concepts of balance, the permanent process of equilibrium in Nature and my background influences from different Masters on Millinery techniques.

Rounded shapes and curves lines are considered the most equilibrates forms in Desing and they represent visual movement as well as the diagonal direction on a visual structure. There is a permanent process of life equilibrium in Nature and this concept is symbolized by three dandelions in the own process of loosing seeds helped by the wind (curves lines and diagonal movement) to renovate the cicle of Nature on the earth (symbolized by different textures and colours on 3D shapes).

Equilibria is a balance of different influences in my millinery learning too: from Elaine Mergard on traditional millinery techniques; from Rebecca Share on contemporary 3D blocking shapes and from Svetlana Faulkner on handmade flowers techniques.
