The Space Cowboy
Description
When I thought about the theme Timeless I thought about a place where Time insignificant. This notion brought me to think about space and the universe, in particular black holes. My hat would characterize a place where we can only imagine is without Time therefore ‘Timeless’. From my research of a black hole I through they were incredible beautiful and I decided an interpretation of this would make a dramatic hat.
I made the crown completely black to represent the center of the black hole or singularity where time and space disappear. The brim of the hat is the space around the singularity that’s yet to be consumed by its infinite gravitational force. The ostrich quills represent the Accretion disk. I wanted to make a hat that would not only represent the black hole but also feel good to wear.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my entry.
