Description
I took my inspiration from the hourglass and ”The infinity symbol” that are similar and kind of related. I deconstructed the shape and let it dissolve upward. Like an explosion of time, no more time, the feathers is like the scattered sand in the hourglass. The materials I have used in the visible parts of the hat are all ancient. I am here flirting with old ceremonial headpieces made by our ancestors. The techniques and materials in this hat could very well have been used several hundred years ago – as well as now, that makes a truly timeless hat. Also want to salute my partner who was a good sport and modelled the hat (he is also the artist of the painting in the background). I have always said that if we get boys that look like me and girls that look like him we would have some good looking children. We were not so lucky to have girls but we have two good looking boys… I guess he has to have som credit for that too.
