HATalk Archive Inspiration

Description

My entry for HATalk Out of the Archives, Edges, was inspired by the article on frayed crin by Bridget Bailey from 2013. I chose an issue from 2013 because it was the year I started millinery. My intention for this piece was to adapt the technique in to my own style. I used the crin as a textural element on my felt hat, layering it as a trim on the crown and the brim edge.
