HATalk Archive Inspiration

Description

I always wanted to make the windowpane sinamay hat brim as described in the HATalk millinery projects. But could never find the time. The same with the cute little bird. So now was my chance!

I used all materials (most leftovers) that were already at home. I wanted the headpiece to feel modern and wearable.

So I had two ideas and I let the materials and form inspire to me as well.

The end product feels like the deep colors and swirls of the sea with a stray seabird flying over.

The hat is placed on a tiara (that I covered with grosgrain) with the help of two loops. This way it is possible to wear the piece in the middle in front forehead or to the side of the head.
