- HATalk Issue 176: BES-BEN HATS: A Legacy of Delight – Behind the scenes with author Elizabeth Jachimowicz
Description
Hand embroidery is a technique that represents me and attracts me from the age of 12, where I started working timidly.
From the moment I decided to work professionally in the millinery I thought it was time to combine them, having influences from my multi-year professional career in costume design and graphic design.
Discovering in your magazine, the article about the milliner Benjamin Green-Field, I was inspired by the playful mood that he presented in his hats, something that I like to emphasize in my creations as well.
The hat on the cover of issue 176, and the elements that emerge, made me automatically travel with bright colors, flowers and birds, in the Spring season as I present with the hand-embroidered Greek word "Aniksi" (Spring).
