Name of Hat
Follow the Butterflies

Description

Butterflies show us how to rebuild ourselves, that’s what i do when i think of my Happy Place. A place to rebuild myself after a stressful week of school. The hat can mean something else to someone else. It can mean playfulness, meaning a childhood memory. I wanted this hat to have a free meaning. I also wanted this hat to get a fantasy feeling, almost like “The Mad Hatter”.

Materials:

  • Felt
  • Plastic Bottles
  • Beads
  • Grosgrainribbon
  • Thread
  • Paint
  • Iron wire

Techniques:

  • Felt over a mold
  • Plastic bottles to make the butterflies and paint them and some beads to sew them down.
  • A ribbon on the inside of the hat
  • Iron wire to make a ring for the bottom of the hat

Note: Entries have been not been edited or proofread to protect the integrity of the maker's original meaning.
