My happy place is swimming in the sea. I wanted to create a headpiece that reflected the organic shapes and textures of water, capturing the movement and energy of crashing waves. I used different blues and greens to mimic the many colours of the ocean as well as white and transparent areas to depict the sea foaming. I live far from the coast and holidaying has been difficult in the last few years so I decided the waves in my headpiece would begin from my ear outwards as if calling to me to return.
