Description

The earth represents orderliness and creativity. While I was hand crafting these head wears I remembered that the earth is not flat and not perfectly round either. I used an arch wire and a bishop cap to create the Earth’s size. Just like the earth’s magnetic shield protects us from cosmic reaction, hats also protects us from the sun and can be used for various ceremonial purposes. The earth is such a beautiful planets as head wears are beautiful accessories that gives us a fabulous look.

Materials:

Uhu gum
Glue gun
Arch wire
Fishing line
Bishop cap
Bias
Alice hair band
Crinoline
Pearls
Net
Bridal satin
Top bond
Celotape
Needles
Feathers

Techniques:

I covered the mould with a black nylon and applied oil to it.
Then I placed my sinamay on top of it with some pins to hold it in place.
I applied my top bond and placed it under the sun to dry.
After that, I removed the mould and pins and placed an arc wire with the same measurement of the mould.
I used my fishing line and needle to attach the wire to the sinamay after which I covered it with a dull face satin.
I used an Alice hair band for the finishing with other accessories.
