Description

Earth represents life and nature and to me a tree is the perfect symbol of this. My headpiece is therefore inspired by a tree, the tree of life.

Techniques:

Blocked Sinamay on a wooden teardrop hat block
Covered in domette
Covered in metallic black and gold fabric
Drilled holes into plastic branches and sewed to the base
Attached spray painted feathers with wire to the branches
Added a birdcage veil
Lined the inside with satin
Attached hat elastic and plastic comb
Clipped on the customised sequin bird
