Description

The idea here was how we have taken from “earth.” The soil, the resources, the massive toll on the earth. I started with a sketch, images of the snake shedding its skin and how the earth sheds its own. The colors resembling the soil where much begins, underground.

Techniques:

I used sculpting techniques to sculpt the fabric then sewed it in.

Materials:

The sketch became my own design which I put on fabric.
The material is of my own design.
Satin fabric print ( my own).
I made a base out of felt and velvet and sewed it all on.
I used feather spines.
