A curling iron is used to roll brim edges on men’s hats, increasing the rigidity and strength of an otherwise flat brim. Guy Morse-Brown Hat Blocks have designed their own proprietary take on the curling tools that were used in old hatting factories, featuring a metal iron and a wooden former. Anything from a slight curl at the edge to a full roll can be achieved with their curling irons.

GMB curling irons come in two sizes: 1/2″ or 3/4″. They are made from stainless steel so they won’t rust or tarnish. The former and handle of the 1/2″ curling iron are made from oiled British ash, and the former and handle of the 3/4″ version are made from oiled British beech.
