2012 HATalk Competition Winners
The 2012 HATalk Hat Making Competition celebrated Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.
Here at HATalk we wanted to do our part to join with the rest of the United Kingdom, and the world, in congratulating Queen Elizabeth II on the 60th anniversary of her ascension to the throne in 2012. Over the years, the Queen has rarely been seen in public without wearing a hat. She has supported the headwear industry through periods of time when hats were anything but popular. As hats are currently enjoying a new heyday, she continues to wear fine millinery and to encourage younger members of the Royal Family to do the same. For this reason, HATalk e-magazine and London couture milliner Dillon Wallwork decided to join forces to host our first ever hat making competition in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Over 200 hats were entered.
1st Place: Vladimir Straticiuc (Spain)

Prize: A HATalk Hat Lover’s Deluxe Set
