Lady Gaga Knows Hollywood Glamour

Lady Gaga is not afraid of a major fashion moment. She has surprised us, confused us, and shocked us with her glamorous and sometimes bold looks. And while she is most known for her talents on the stage, she recently made her debut on the silver screen in A Star Is Born. As a singer, her fashion choices have always been daring and sexy and as an actress she has kept those same qualities.

Her press tour looks consisted of sparkly dresses and flowing gowns – exuding old school Hollywood glamour from head to toe. While it is hard to pick our favorite looks, we are still dreaming about how she made a simple pillbox look so chic not once, not twice, but three times.

For the Toronto premiere in September, Lady Gaga opted for a form-fitting dress by Armani Prive. When she first arrived, a black veil draped over her face. But as she began to walk to the carpet, she adjusted the veil to rest on her shoulders, revealing her sequined black hat in the process.

By adjusting the veil, she created beautiful puffed sheer sleeves that complimented the tightness of her dress. The hat was an unexpected choice, but suited the outfit perfectly.

An after party typically requires a new outfit and while she changed into something new, she still kept a piece from her previous look. Sticking with the all black, form-fitting theme, she went with a Ralph & Russo gown for the event. The velvet couture piece featured a thigh-high slit, diamond buttons, and hints of pink.

The mixture of textures made this look unique. Who would have thought velvet, sequins and silk could look so good together?

During another event at the Toronto International Film Festival, Lady Gaga shined in a silver Armani dress. The strappy ensemble was a shift from the black attire she had sported at the previous events but was still glamorous nonetheless. Between the same sequined pillbox and the shimmering gown, we couldn’t help but reminisce about the fashion icons of old Hollywood. Perhaps this was Lady Gaga’s way of marking her territory in the world of film.

While these are not her most outrageous looks, they very well may be some of her most elegant to date. Take a cue from Lady Gaga and experiment with textures and unique hat styles this season. You never know what sophisticated look you could come up with!
