Description

The equilibrium is in the balance of the stars. 5 small floating stars all together are the same size and weight as the one large star. One small star is equal to one point of the large star.

Materials

  • Crinoline
  • Sinamay
  • Paper woven base for brim
  • Design master spray
  • Hat wire
  • Invisible thread, yellow thread, orange thread

Techniques

  • Blocked sinamay crown
  • Blocked Paper woven brim
  • Hand stitched crown & brim together and added handmade sinamay band
  • Solder cut 25 small crinoline squares, shaped and stitched with invisible thread to make stars, added hat wire
  • Solder cut 5 large crinoline squares, shaped and stitched with invisible thread to make star, added hat wire
  • Sprayed stars with Design master to create vibrant colour
  • Stitched stars to hat
