Description

VALENTINA EQUIPOISE – meaning strong and healthy balance of forces or interest.

A state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced at a point is when the state of EQUILIBRIUM is said to be achieved.

This creation tells the above story… where moon shaped bases are arranged on each other and all being balanced on a mid point which is the pillbox base of the headpiece.

This defines Equilibrium as the opposing forces (the moon bases) are balanced at a point (pillbox base).

Finally the headpiece is finished with large Roses with hand fixed pearls arranged inside each moon shape base to create the glam effect and also give it a good balance aesthetically.

Techniques

• blocked the half moon bases and the round pillbox base.
• sprayed with 18k gold spray
• piped with petersham
• arranged and handstitched the moon bases on the round pillbox Base.. with the round pillbox Base as the Base point and the half moon bases arranged at different opposite angle and also creating a balance …
• hand made foam Roses fixed inside each half moon Base to create a lovely aesthetic view and glam.
• Roses finished with hand fixed pearls and also a gold stone at the middle to blend with the paper gold material.
• sinamay sprayed and sewed with iron wire inside the piping to allow the hand made bow stay in position.
• matching pearl hat pin fixed to complete and enhance the glam look.
