SOLWAY
Description
Usually I am inspired by the nature. The colours, shapes, and materials. When I saw the theme, the first thought that appeared to my mind was Solway Firth. I had a chance to live in the area for a few years. I had a chance to feel what I interpreted into the theme. This is a magical place. The landscape is never the same, even for a minute. Breathtaking views over the Cumbrian Mountains, Nith Estuary and Dumfries and Galloway costal line. Beautiful sand dunes, rocky hills, salt marshes and intertidal flats. Sometimes the sunshine is playing with the waves, sometimes the waves are playing with the dark rainy clouds, but not one thing is always the same. The sea water creates sand forms with every new tide. Amazing shapes in order. Order born from the chaos. All of this is never ending. The time has no limit, no borders.
That’s how I created my hat and called it SOLWAY. Feelings merged in to the reality. Muddy gentle colours in neutral tones. Elevated shapes and little shiny drops.
