My hat’s title is Wav Dwr, the Welsh translation for water waves.

Inspired by my Welsh roots, surfing and sailing in the sea, walking in the Welsh countryside with powerful waterfalls and rivers.

I’m always mesmerised by watching the water waves and find it incredible how water can create such a powerful force. In my design I wanted to show the structure of water, from a simple drop of water, to the powerful structure and flow of water and how it can present in different forms, from the smooth water of the wave curl to the froth caused at the top of the wave as it starts to break.
