2013 HATalk Competition Winners
The 2013 HATalk Hat Making Competition had an upcycling theme.
As always, we encouraged everyone to be as creative as possible and to think outside the box. The only stipulation was that every hat entered had to incorporate at least one material or object which had previously been used for another purpose.
There were over 130 upcycled hats submitted to the competition and the judges were Denise Innes-Spencer of The British School of Millinery and myself, HATalk Editor Becky Weaver.
1st Place: Jayne Elwell (UK)
Prize: 1-week Residential Millinery Workshop at Chateau Dumas in France.
2nd Place: Robyn Woodrow (Australia)
Prize: £250 voucher for Guy Morse-Brown Hat Blocks, Signed Copy
of Fabulous Fascinators, £50 The Trimming Company voucher, $20 Vintage Millinery Flowers voucher.
