Project Overview
Make your own retro bridal veil and finish off the 1960s look with Guipure lace daisies.
Traditionally blocked with steam and beautifully trimmed, this chin-length face veil will add the perfect touch to a retro bridal look. Whether you will be wearing it on your own wedding day or you are making it for someone else, this is a gorgeous veil that you can make at home without special tools or equipment.
In this step-by-step project, Michelle from Petershams Millinery Supplies in the UK shows you how to create a retro bridal veil that is attached to a comb so that it can secured directly onto the wearer’s head. Of course, this type of short birdcage veil can also be sewn onto a cocktail hat for some mid-century Hollywood glamour vibes.
