Rachael Nixon makes and sells hats and headpieces from her showroom in Kirkcaldy, a small coastal town just outside Edinburgh in Scotland. She studied millinery at Glasgow Clyde College and founded her own hat label, Chanix Millinery, in 2016.

Since starting her millinery business, Rachael has won numerous awards for her hat making. In 2019, she won the Fife Visual Artist and Craftmaker Award and came first place in the Lincoln International Millinery Competition. She was also a finalist in the Scottish Wedding Awards for Best Wedding Accessory Provider. In February 2020, she won No.1 Scotland Magazine’s Amazing Woman of the Year in the Best Female Business Innovator Category. Rachael’s millinery work has also been given special recognition by the United Kingdom’s House of Commons.
