Description
From the Bayou Country, in Louisiana, the crawfish captures the Home of a crustacean, that lives in the marshlands of the GOOD EARTH. My entry represents the livelihood of the Cajun people who thrive on the nutrients of the EARTH. “Emile the Crawfish” is shown coming out of its EARTHEN borrow among the moss, fields of rice, cattails, Magnolias, and findings of the true Acadian Country.
Techniques:
Created Sinamay Frame & Covered
Glued most into place
Materials:
Covered Sinamay frame, lined brown suede and edged in brown braid (Photo has label inked out!)
Made brown clay crawfish mound and attached to facinator.
Covered frame top with green treated moss.
Accented with shaped long coque feathers,
Dried Rice on stems from the field.
Added Cattails, magmolia, and THE CRAWFISH, EMILE!
All representing the home of THE LOUISANA Crawfish living in the GOOD EARTH!
