Ani Stafford-Townsend is a British couture and theatre milliner, striving for ethics in fashion and pushing artistic boundaries. Starting out as a theatrical milliner working for national companies, the West End, and film productions, Ani has developed her own millinery label – Ani Stafford Townsend Millinery – known for bold and adventurous use of colour and unique, stylish designs.

Ani trained at Wimbledon School of Art under theatre milliner Sean Barrett. She is now based in UK city of Bristol, where she continues to create both theatre millinery and work under her own label. She also runs the Milliners’ Guild, a shop which stocks hats by top British designers, which she launched 2013. Ani is an experienced millinery teacher and runs regular hat making workshops in her Bristol studio.
