Project Overview
Making a curled sinamay trimming like the one used to decorate the quick mini fascinator veil (below) is quick and easy. All you need is some sinamay bias binding, a tube to wrap it around, a needle and some thread.
These simple trimmings can go on all types of hats and fascinators and can be made to match any colour. You can buy pre-made sinamay bias binding from most millinery suppliers. Alternatively, you can make your own. As for the tube, a simple roll of plastic wrap, or something of a similar size, will work well.
This four-step curled sinamay hat decoration project was written by London milliner Elena Shvab.
